Elujay crafts a refreshing blend of soul, funk, and hip-hop that permeates throughout each track. The Oakland artist dropped his Jentrify album back in 2016, cementing his spot as one of the most promising artists of the Bay Area. Following shows with the likes of Xavier Omär, GoldLink, and Bibi Bourelly, Elu is currently working on a new project titled Avnt Garde.
As one of my personal favorites, “Golden” demonstrates his ability to create a feel-good vibe over stacked production from JULiA LEWiS, Kev Choice, and Chris McClenney. Teaming up with director Calmatic and All Def Music, Elu takes on the role of an old man fed up with a malfunctioning television and music blasting through the speakers upstairs to bring the track to life with a truly fun and exciting video.
Check out the video for “Golden” below.
Having worked with the likes of Rexx Life Raj, Caleborate, and Elujay, JULiA LEWiS continues to refine his skills with each release. The Bay Area producer returns to W&V today with an all-star collab titled “On The Regular.” Featuring talent from Elujay, Mr. Carmack, and Mikos Da Gawd, his latest offering is the perfect soundtrack for driving around town with the homies. Elujay’s smooth delivery pairs nicely with the bouncy foundation from JULiA Lewis, Carmack, and Mikos, merging their individual talents to create one of my favorite songs this year.

If you’re looking for the perfect weekend soundtrack, look no further—the mans Elujay is serving up plenty of groovy vibes on his latest track, “Streamin’.” The first taste of his forthcoming Avnt Garde album channels the spirit of summertime as he riffs over smooth production from Chris McClenney and Zikomo. Chris also rolls through with his own soothing verse, delivered with his similarly impressive vocals. Be sure to keep a close eye on this trio of talent as you vibe out to their all-star collab.

Elujay has been hard at work finishing up his next project. In the meantime, the Oakland artist is holding us down with another loosie titled “Linguistics.” His latest release arrives on the heels of “Golden” from earlier this year and features production from slom and Kev Choice. Elu glides along the steady beat with ease as he reminds listeners of the grind and cuts out those that aren’t on the same frequency.

With the likes of Dave B. and Travis Thompson leading the pack, Seattle continues to deliver a constant stream of talent in the music industry. One of the city’s blossoming producers kyo-ken recently joined forces with fellow Seattleite MistaDC and W&V veteran Elujay for a wavy tune titled “Most Beautiful Ride.” kyo-ken laces the late-night soundtrack with a groovy foundation for MistaDC’s infectious falsetto and Elu’s saucy verse, culminating in a bouncy track fit for any playlist.

Back in September, W&V favorite Elujay solidified his spot as one of the prime Bay Area artists to watch with the success of his Jentrify debut, and his latest outing is another stellar showcase of his skills. Recruiting a stacked production team of JULiA LEWiS, Kev Choice, and Chris McClenney, Elu’s self-titled “future hyphy funk” track oozes with bouncy melodies and his catchy flow. This stacked collab is setting up Elu for another great year, leaving us excited to see what’s next for the blossoming Oakland talent.

Earlier this year, Elujay unveiled his silky cut with ymtk, “Flagrant.” Their viral collab projected both artists into the spotlight, leading to the release of Elu’s Jentrify and ymtk’s All The Right Places. The track was recently brought to life by director Adrian Per—who’s also behind Caleborate‘s “Game Over” video—following the two on the court as they compete for the same girl.

On the heels of a packed out listening party this weekend, Elujay has dropped his highly anticipated album, Jentrify. The 13-track offering rounds out previous singles like the YMTK-assisted “Flagrant” and “We Don’t Mind” with Caleborate and Samaria, demonstrating a refinement of his infectious sound.
The blossoming Oakland artist explores the changes his city is facing, while maintaining positive vibes using a blend of neo-soul, hip-hop, and electronic elements. Topped off with appearances from around the Bay and beyond, including Rexx Life Raj, Jay Ant, and Trapo, Elu will only continue to grow with an impressive debut on his hands.

Ever since I heard “Soul Food” and “Pushing Lines,” I’ve been hooked on Elujay‘s sound. As one of the most promising in the industry, Elu pulls off the singing/rapping hybrid with ease, culminating in soulful gems that have spread throughout the Bay and beyond.
Following his recent single with Caleborate and Samaria, the Oakland artist has revealed the latest cut from his upcoming debut project, Jentrify. As the intro track, “Onetime!” delivers heartfelt vibes with his slick verses and an uplifting hook, and was co-produced by Elu, Wax Roof, Kev Choice, and Drew Banga.
