Dave B. & Romaro Franceswa Glide On “Only”

Fresh off his first headlining tour this past spring, Dave B. has continued to flourish with a steady stream of tracks like “Dive” and “Buckets.” The Seattle-bred emcee is shaping to be one of the suavest in the game right now with no signs of slowing anytime soon.

“Only” stands as his latest dose of soul and raps, featuring tour mates Romaro Franceswa and AbJo of Soulection. Their bouncy cadences flow nicely over sparse piano chords and a barrage of percussion, driving the track forward. With a refreshing vigor behind them, the three join forces to craft one of my all-time favorites.

AbJo Shares New Project, ‘#VIBRA’

[Art by Choosey]

San Diego’s own AbJo of Soulection has been slaying the game for quite some time now—I got my first taste of his banging production back when he performed at the Warehouse Takeover earlier this year, hosted by The Travelers Club. Sharing the stage with fellow locals JR Jarris and Andy Internets, as well as Khary and headliner Maségo, it didn’t take long for me to be hooked to his sound.

Building from his recent bundle of loosies, See You On The Other Side, AbJo has unveiled his new project, #VIBRA. His latest collection follows 2014’s Vibração Conmigo in his Latin-inspired series, blending the culture with hard-hitting kicks, crisp snares, and a wide range of melodies sure to have you feeling the vibes.

Stream #VIBRA below, and drop some love for the project at AbJo’s Bandcamp.

AbJo // “#WHOOMP / This One” (Stream + DL)

San Diego beatsmith AbJo is back with his latest offering, “#WHOOMP / This One.” From his new collection, See You On The Other Side, the Soulection artist flips a Tag Team classic with hard-hitting percussion and wavy synths, topped off with a clean beat-switch. While we await his upcoming project, Vibração 2, this set of loosies will be more than enough to hold us down.

Vibe out with AbJo and expect Vibração 2 later this month.
