If it flew under your radar, get it to ear level: Jersey club producer Jayhood will be dropping 15 tracks for UK-based label Local Action. The album, titled King, speaks to his years in the Jersey club scene and will be fully released on March 24.
This will be the first time Jayhood has had an official release. Some tracks have already made their debut and made notable attention on YouTube. The album will include some of his well-known tracks, including “Hands On Ya Hips.”
Jayhood is known for producing Sharaya J and Missy Elliott‘s “Banji” and his remix of Beyonce‘s “Drunk In Love.” He’s also well-known as part of Jersey club’s second wave of producers.
Local Action writes:
“To understand the real context of the music it’s important to trawl YouTube for the dance contests and homemade videos that are so key to Jersey club… But the raw power of these tracks stands up in its own right.”
