KAMI Returns With “Home Movies”

Back in early 2015, KAMI teamed up with Joey Purp as the Savemoney duo Leather Corduroys on Season. Since then, KAMI has been fairly quiet in terms of solo releases, but after teasing anxious fans with the artwork last week, has returned with latest track. “Home Movies” is a nostalgic trip featuring KAMI belting over synth-led production from Knox Fortune, who also laid the foundation on “Girls @.” KAMI provides the soundtrack to a waitress (Kelly Bode) and her crush (Uduimoh Ellis Umolu) dancing the night away in an empty diner, backed by cameos from Vic Mensa, Purp, and Knox. Seeping with talent from around Chicago, the song is refreshing and reminiscent of what you might find in a classic jukebox.

Check out the Andre Muir-directed visuals below and stay tuned for more from the Savemoney collective.
