Tom Misch is known for painting with a vast palate of different sounds. Through his stream of consistent releases, Misch has garnered the attention of many pivotal forces in the industry, including Kaytranada and the Soulection family.
Following last year’s Beat Tape 2, London’s multitalented artist has unveiled his Reverie EP. The project kicks off with one of its lead singles, “Crazy Dream,” which draws talent from fellow London artist, Loyle Carner. The sultry jam laced with muted synths and staccato guitar riffs features Misch and Carner bouncing between a soft hook and poetic verses as he details his bouts with love. Segueing into the saxophone-led “Follow,” he and his sister Laura produce a delicate soundscape that encourages listeners to take a risk, step out of their comfort zones, and embrace their individuality. The mellow, intimate trope continues throughout “I Wish” before picking up the pace with the groovy closer, “Watch Me Dance.” Misch’s latest offering glides into each track with ease, and will definitely stay in heavy rotation.
As he wraps up his festival circuit in Europe, Misch has announced the dates to his upcoming US tour, which kicks off early November in New York before hitting the West Coast. Stream Reverie and peep the tour dates after the jump. Also, grab your copy of the EP here and stay tuned for the video to “Crazy Dream,” out Tuesday.
