This week D. Sanders released his “Make You Feel Remix,” a reinterpretation of the Alina Baraz and Galimatias collaboration.
Sanders transforms the track from electro-pop into after-dessert RnB, infusing the ambient textures of the original with driving patterns of kicks and high-hats while reorganizing the vocals and samples. Press play below:
Sanders is an oft collaborator with TDE’s Isaiah Rashad, and Sanders’s production on “Heavenly Father” made the track one of several standouts on Rashad’s 2014 album Cilvia Demo.
Here’s to wishing that more artists realize what Rashad already knows so that we can hear more of Sanders’s work throughout the landscape of hip-hop and beyond.
