J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar Drop “Black Friday” Tracks, Hint at Upcoming Collab Album

Hip-hop frontmen J. Cole and Kendrick Lamar have topped off this Thanksgiving weekend with two over-your-head freestyles. The first track features Cole giving his own spin on Lamar’s hit “Alright.” The latter showcases Lamar flipping Cole’s “Tale of 2 Citiez.” With wordplay, aggression, and flow in abundance, I can’t wait to hear what these two will sound like together on a full project.

Towards the end of Cole’s track, he hints at a potential release date for his upcoming collaboration with Lamar, which seemingly is set to be released next February. While nothing has been officially announced, Lamar’s sister suggested (accidentally) that the project would drop February 16th. The post has since been removed.
