The Midwest continues to give rise to a myriad of talented artists. Recently I was introduced to yet another skillful emcee known as Pat App, a 20-years young college student at Purdue University with aspirations to affect change around the world through his rhymes. Earlier this month Pat debuted “Spirit Bombs,” showcasing his rapid-fire, wordplay-laced delivery over a classic boom bap instrumental produced by Wizdumb. Pat effortlessly balances optimism and confidence via his lyrical adroitness, further solidifying his spot in the industry.
The Levi Turner-directed visuals for his latest cut follows Pat around a wintery Chicago, from the subway to Chinatown, as he demonstrates his control over the mic. Be sure to check out the video for “Spirit Bombs” below, snag a free download via Elvtd, and follow him on Twitter and SoundCloud.
