Chicago’s Hurt Everybody puts out dope, refreshing music at such an unmatched rate, it’s like they’ve never slept before. One-third of the sonic trio, Supa Bwe, unveiled “Contacts” via Complex Magazine today as the first single from his upcoming tape, The Dead Occasion, which is set to be released on October 4th. The video was directed by Lyrical Lemonade founder Cole Bennett and features Supa relishing by the pool alongside Hurt’s producer/DJ hybrid Mulatto, their manager Westley, and of course, a handful of gorgeous women. The track itself was produced by Churchdontstop of Chicago and demonstrates Supa’s vocal dexterity as he bounces between hypnotizing and piercing lines.
The Complex debut also contained a documentary courtesy of Bryan Allen Lamb, a Chicago filmmaker and photographer that has worked with Mick Jenkins, Flatbush Zombies, and many more (check out website and Instagram). The short follows Hurt Everybody during their ventures in New York, where they played at the historic rite of passage SOBs alongside Saba Pivot, Chelsea Reject, and XVRHLDY, as well as during their set with Mick Jenkins at Chicago venue Reggie’s during a Lollapalooza after-party.

In the words of Supa, “it all comes down to who you know.”
